General Lubbock questions and answers:

My business is sending me to Lubbock.  Is there anything fun to do at night in
Lubbock?

Most of the nightlife is centered around the Depot District.  Here, you will find an assortment of
bars, restaurants, nightclubs, and plenty of live music.

I will be traveling to Lubbock for a few weeks this summer and I want to know about
the weather.  What kind of clothes should I pack?

In the summer, the daytime weather is about early 90s, late 80s.  Definitely pack light clothes.  It
can get to the 60s at night, so pack accordingly if you plan on going out at night.  Check the
forecast to be sure before leaving.

I'm coming to Lubbock and I am looking for a reasonably priced place to stay.  Can you
recommend any hotels?

Well, here in Lubbock, football games from Texas Tech University are a major activity.
Whenever there's a home game, it's going to be pretty tough to get a hotel room, especially
hotels on the cheaper side.  I suggest you book ahead, especially if you know there will be a
game that weekend.  Also, the hotel tax here is 17%, so be prepared.  The Lubbock Inn is a
good choice for moderate hotels.  I've also heard good things about the Country Inn.

Where is the Buddy Holly Museum, and is it worth going to?

I believe what you mean is the Buddy Holly Center, which pays homage to Lubbock's own
hometown rocker.  It is located at 1801 Ave G.  Among the exhibits are a couple of his guitars,
photos of Holly and his band, and his trademark glasses.  I would say, if you're really into Buddy
Holly, it's a great experience.
