The Palm
Beach Polo Club
The very unique Palm Beach
sport of Polo is played in the town of Wellington, which is
actually a few miles west of West Palm Beach.
The game of Polo is
played by teams of players on horses trying to knock a ball with
their mallets past a goal line. The game is played on a grass field
that is 300 yards long by 150 yards wide. There are six
7-minute periods in the game with a 4 minute break in between
each period and a 10 minute halftime.
Polo brings many of the rich
and famous to the upsacle community of Wellington, which is also
known for its golf, tennis, and equestrian facilities as polo has been called the "sport of kings".

The Palm Beach Kennel
Club
Dog racing is another truly
unique Palm Beach event you can wager on that most people have
probably never seen. You can get up close to one of the fastest animals around and watch as they chase the mechanical lure around the
track.
Wagering is similar to horse racing as you can bet to Win,
Place, Show, Quinella, Perfecta, Trifecta, etc.
You may
want to make this your first or last stop in your visit to West Palm Beach as it is right across from the airport on Belvedere
Rd.
Baseball in
Jupiter
If you are a baseball fan, you
might want to take a short drive north of West Palm to Roger Dean

You can see your favorite players up close in a relaxed
atmosphere on the auxiliary practice fields.
From April
until August, the Palm Beach Cardinals and Jupiter Hammerheads make Roger Dean Stadium their home. These teams play in the
Florida State League - Class Single A.
Roger Dean Stadium
is a state of the art minor league facility. The ballpark features field box, loge box, bleachers, a grass berm, and luxury
skybox seating. The stadium can accommodate approximately 7,000
