will be visiting the Tampa Bay area in a month and I'd like to check out
the surrounding cities of Clearwater and St Petersburg. Is
one nicer than the other? Where do you suggest staying that's centrally
located to all 3 communities?
Answer: Tampa, St. Petersburg, and
Clearwater are all beautiful areas with lots of stuff to do (check out the other pages of this site for tips). Personally I
like the beaches of St Petersburg and Clearwater the best (no
beach in Tampa as it is on the bay. As for where to stay
that's centrally located, you can try hotels on Ulmerton Rd. (there's a
couple of nice Marriott hotels) which is just east of Tampa, just
west of Clearwater, and just north of St
Petersburg. --------------------------------
