What kind of activities are
there to do in San Diego?
San Diego has good surfing and
windsurfing but the water can often get crowded. If you're a first timer, try the Pacific Surf school in Mission Beach.
The best scuba diving is in the San Diego-La Jolla
Underwater Park with giant kelp forests and the 100ft-deep La Jolla Canyon.
What are some of the more
famous sights to see in San Diego?
With its museums,
gardens, and famous zoo, Balboa Park should be on the list of what to see in San Diego. Some of the more famous museums include the
San Diego Museum of art, the Natural History Museum, the Museum
of Photographic arts and the Aerospace Museum. The northern
section of Balboa Park is occupied by the world-class San Diego Zoo which has more than 4000 animal and around 800 species living in
beautifully re-created natural habitats. San Diego's star
attraction however is Sea World in Mission Bay. Sea World combines
live shows starring trained animals with zoo-like exhibits. A
must see is the show starring Shamu the killer
whale.
Where’s a good place to jog and
skate in San Diego?
Check out Mission
Beach. It has a paved walkway directly on the beach which is very
popular and is a great area to walk, jog, skate, and ride your
bike. Bring quarters for the meters. Parking is
limited and hard to find here.
Where can we find
a relaxing area on San Diego that has shopping and outdoor dining
with a view of the water?
Your best bet is to check out
Seaport Village. It’s located on West Harbor Drive at Pacific Highway, near the Hyatt. They have lots of quaint shops, dining
and are right on the water. Best of all, if your parking
ticket is validated, your first two hours of parking in their lot is free.
