General Naples Questions and
Answers
Question: My husband, myself and my 3 kids are coming to
Naples. They would like to snorkel, see dolphins, and find shells. Any suggestions? Also, what other fun stuff and nice sights
are there in Naples?
Answer: While I have never personally gone
snorkeling, I suggest Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park for activities such
as snorkeling, sunbathing, swimming, beachcombing, and
picnicking. The park is located six miles west of exit 111,
on I-75. For more info you can call 239-597-6196. Some other
fun stuff the kids might enjoy doing is taking an Airboat tour
into the Everglades and seeing the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens

is the best antique shopping in Naples?
Answer Downtown is
lovely, but on the northern end of town (Shirley & Pine Ridge) is a
wonderful antique mall that should not be missed! I have
spent hours wandering there on a rainy afternoon - it's the perfect rainy
day destination! I stumbled upon it quite by accident
several years ago and have been back many times since. Great place for treasure hunters, and the staff is super friendly.
It's in bit of an out-of-the-way area (not near downtown
Naples) and might not be discovered if someone didn't mention it. I
seek out the antique shops everywhere I go, so just wanted to
share information on this hidden gem with fellow antique addicts.
(For all you gals into the shabby chic / Paris apartment
style, check out The Vintage Plum at this mall - it is my favorite!!!) ------------------------------------------------- Question: I'm
considering Ft. Myers/Naples area. How would you, as a resident,
compare Ft. Myers to Naples. Thank you so much for your
response
Answer: The Naples/Ft myers area is, simply put,
PARADISE! As far as a comparison of Naples to FtMyers....I liken it to
beer to champagne!!! Naples being the champagne!! I have
heard people refer to Naples as the "Beverly Hills" of SW Florida! I
will give you the web addresses for the local TV and newspaper....great
sources of info!!! www.abc7.com , www.nbc2.com , www.naplesnews.com ,
www.winktv.com are a
few. ------------------------------------- Question: I'm looking
for a great hair cut (female)? Can you recommend a salon and possibly even
a stylist in the Naples - Bonita Springs
area?
Answer: I can tell you where my wife goes and she is
completely happy with the salon and the staff!! Her hair always looks beautiful!! The salon is Roberts of Philadelphia in the
Village on Venetian Bay in Naples. Her stylist's name is Dawn.
(ph 239-434-2211). I also believe there is a salon in Bonita..I will
give you the web address of the salon www.ropsalons.com for more
info.
