Question We are flying into
Miami, staying for 2 days and want to see the Sawgrass Mills Mall and the
Beach, what are our transportation and lodging
options?
Answer: The Sawgrass mall is located around 15 miles
west of the Ft Lauderdale beaches (which would be the closest beach to the
mall. Both locations are around 30 miles north of Miami
Airport. The most convenient way getting around would probably be to
rent a car. But if this is not possible, there is a bus
(#36 that goes from the Sawgrass Mall to Ft Lauderdale Beach. (go to
www.broward.org/bct for more details.)
There are many hotels
located on the Beach in Ft Lauderdale (I would try to stay at one close to
Beach Place - which is a very lively area with lots of shops and
nightlife). There are also some hotels out west by the Mall but not
as many. (www.flausa.com is a good website to go to)
As far
as getting from Miami to Ft Lauderdale, you can go to
www.miami-airport.com for ground transportation options.
Hope this
helps, enjoy your
trip! ------------------------------------------------------------

Question Can
you tell me of the best way to get from Ft Lauderdale airport to the
Port in Miami for Royal Caribbean? There is going to be 6 of
us... the flights are cheaper to fly to Ft Lauderdale, but then we need
to figure out a good way to get to the port in Miami. One shuttle
service wanted $240, which I thought was quite
high!
Answer The best way of getting to the Miami Port from the
Ft Laud airport would probably either by Taxi or via one of the Shared
ride shuttle services. $240 does seem very high. You
might want to call Airport Express and see how much their Shared Ride
Service is. Taxi and Shuttle info pasted below. Hope this
helps. Taxi/Yellow Cab: Available on demand. Check in at the
Transportation Podium located lower level, curbside of each terminal. Rate
comparison charts are posted at each podium or click on Typical
Rates for the information. Taxicabs accept up to 5 persons for fare stated
on meters (taxi fares regulated by law in this county). Call
Yellow Cab if you have any questions at 954 565-2800. Share Ride/Tri
County Airport Express: Luxury sedans and vans provide "zone" fare door
to door service. Non-shared ride service is also available. Check in at
the Transportation Podium located lower level, curbside at the
ends of each Terminal. Fares can be found on the rate comparison charts

a professional photographer, where should I go to get press credentials
for sport teams and events?
Answer I would suggest contacting
each Team or Venue directly. The four major sports teams in the

Center), Dolphins (football-play at Pro Player Stadium), Marlins
(baseball-play at Pro Player Stadium) and Heat (basketball-play at
American Airlines
arena). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Question As

I am visiting the Miami area next month and would like to play some
golf while I’m there. I am about 8-9 handicap, and would like the
names of some upper end golf courses in the area. I am
familiar with Doral, but at $250 a round, that makes it tough to play more
than once. Thanks very much for your
help.
Answer An alternative to Doral is Crandon Park Golf Course
in Key Biscayne, (a 10 minute drive from downtown). The Seniors have
their tournament here and its a very pretty course on Biscayne
Bay. The course is considered one of the most beautiful and
difficult par-72 courses in the state of Florida. It has been
rated in the top ten courses by Golfweek and one of America's top 75
upscale courses by Golf Digest. Phone # (305)
