There are many hotels in the
area close to the port, and I'm pretty sure that many of the brand name
hotels, will provide complimentary parking
and transportation to and from the port while you are a guest
there. One hotel in particular is the "Spring Hill Suites by
Marriott" located in Dania around 5 miles from the port . I am sending you their

interests, I would say you should at least visit "Beach Place" which
is a lively area on the
beach (on A1A between Las Olas Blvd. and Sunrise Blvd) that has music,
restaurants, fun and sun. If you're looking for a quieter place to
stay on the beach, check out the Clarion Resort in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea
which is on A1A a few miles north of where
Beach Place is. (A1A is the
road that hugs the Florida Coastline, can be very scenic at times).

a few good places that were open in past years on Christmas (You should
probably still call ahead to make sure they're going to be open
this Christmas). I'm not sure of your taste or price
range but I'll start from least expensive to most

Hi, My daughter is going to be
going to Ft Lauderdale, probably by bus. She needs to hook up with a
friend at the airport, and I need to know how far the bus terminal is from
the airport and the best transportation for her to get there. She may be
arriving a day before her friend comes in and need a place to stay. Are

The Greyhound Bus Terminal is
located in downtown Ft Lauderdale approximately 5 miles from the
airport. A Taxi/Car Service would probably be the best option to get
to the airport (I'm not certain whether there is bus service or not to the
airport). As far as hotels are concerned, there aren't any that I am aware
of by the bus station, there are many hotel chains, however, by the
airport (some of them providing complimentary shuttle service to the
airport, one such hotel that I know of is the Spring Hill Suites by

As far as inexpensive chain motels, there is a Motel6 in Dania a
couple of miles from the airport (phone #
