ATLANTA
THEATRE, MUSIC, AND ARTS
HiFi Buys Ampitheatre, hosts some of the
biggest acts in music. Big-name concerts are
also held at
the Philips Arena, home to Atlanta Hawks Basketball and Thrashers
Hockey teams. A wide variety of musical venues are found
throughout the city,
including the Variety Playhouse, Masquerade
and Tabernacle.
You'll find world-class exhibits and performances
at the The Woodruff Arts Center in
downtown Atlanta. Many
of Atlanta's finest arts organizations, including the Atlanta
Symphony Orchestra, High Art Museum, Alliance Theatre Company
and 14th Street
Playhouse are housed here.
Contemporary
theatre is throughout Atlanta; Dad's Garage, Horizon Theatre Company
and Seven Stages Theatre to name a few.
At the Center for
Puppetry Arts, children and adults will love the creative shows,
workshops and puppetry museum.
Atlanta Braves major league
baseball team plays at Turner Field which was
transformed into a
baseball only stadium after the Olympics. Turner Field is not near
MARTA, but dedicated shuttle buses run between the stadium and
the Five Points
Station during games. The Atlanta Falcons
Football Team plays at the Georgia Dome.
The Atlanta Hawks
Basketball Team and the Atlanta Thrashers Hockey Team play at
the
Philips Arena.
